Good evening all. I'm Christine and I am new. Strange and neat little tribe you have here...a tribe dedicated in it's entirity to a shoe....errrr...sorry, I mean, a boot.
So here's the skinny:I've had my docs for, count em, ~14~ years now. I originally bought them when I was 11(it's amazing that my feet didn't grow much in the years that followed.) I don't know if I owe it to good workmanship on the part of the shoemaker, or good hygiene, but I swear to you they still smell like leather.
Though, they are beginning to look worn...should I break down and buy another pair? It's almost blasphemy at this point!

Hmmm, I would definitely KEEP those Doc's but maybe get another pair.

Wow! Took me long enough to reply to this, eh? So sorry about that...
Good advice buGG :-)
Old docs are good to traipse around in, and I've found that I can make my old ones look tre' groovy if I add a cool colored pair of laces to them, like purple, blue, or green.
But I suppose it is in fact time for a new pair....now if I could only figure out which kind to buy. (*scratches dome*)
Bootyful Bye Byes,
